EXHIBITION 2023
Artist Jeremy Kay invites you to the launch of AFTER HOURS
Artist Jeremy Kay invites you to join him for his inaugural solo exhibition, AFTER HOURS.
In collaboration with ART AID, Kay's AFTER HOURS is a solo exhibition that showcases the unveiling of a hidden world of beauty. Lightboxes are used to give his artworks a transformative quality that embodies the artist's dream-like creative state.
"The AFTER HOURS world is a place where reality is suspended, and the night comes alive. It offers a euphoric escape where anything is possible, and time loses its meaning."
Kay's works are created from a complex and mesmerising process involving the careful layering of resin to create a final piece that captures the viewer's attention. This repetition builds up the artworks texture and colour, creating an illusion that draws the viewer in and leaves a lasting impression. Each artwork is unique and has its own distinct personality, changing with the shift of light throughout day and night.

Welcome to Jeremy Kay Studio"Welcome to the vibrant and immersive world of Jeremy Kay's art. As an artist who pushes the boundaries of creativity, Jeremy's one-of-a-kind pieces are a fusion of coloured resin and lighting that come alive in the form of 3D interactive light boxes. Reminiscent of the glory days of clubbing, these artworks embody two lives - a glossy monochromatic look during the light of day and a mysterious nocturnal metamorphosis that unveils an extravagant and captivating personality. Explore the mesmerizing and dynamic creations of Jeremy Kay on our website and immerse yourself in a journey of art and light."
Jeremy Kay is a French born resin artist, currently based in Byron Bay Australia. Using an intuitive, free flowing style to create abstract shapes in resin. Through many years of experimentation, Jeremy has developed his own unique way of pouring resin, to make vibrant and expressive artworks. With a radical inclination towards mixing new mediums and colours into each resin work, his original pieces capture a psychedelic and dreamlike feel that evoke an emotional and atmospheric response. |
As resin grew in popularity I became interested in inventing my own technique, to create shapes that break up with the 2 dimensional fluidity of resin. I am working on a large variety of supports (mostly recycled) always with the aim to create not only art that is pleasing to the eye, but more so, an object with an atmospheric enhancing power, something that you see in a room and go “wow...now, that’s a vibe”.
Inspired by his earlier career as a DJ and many years travelling internationally, Kay’s resin art reflects an enthusiasm for life, living, adventure and the vibrancy of life. Leaving his viewers in a state of wonder and amazement.
Personally I found abstract and interactive art to be my favourite style. I want to create an experience where the public is led toward an altered state, I like to push everyone to question the meaning of the art, to take a guess and then question their own interpretation. Why? Simply because this is first step toward enlightenment, but also it’s fun!

His recent work pushes the experimental boundaries even further with a series of 3 dimensional interactive light boxes, reminiscing the glory nights of his club years.
Similarly, to me these artworks embody two lives, a glossy monochromic life during the light of day. Night dawn’s, and a mysterious nocturnal metamorphosis takes place unravelling a whole new personality... something not afraid to be extravagant.
The most anticipated Jeremy Kay’s upcoming first solo exhibition is aimed to take place early 2023 in Sydney
