Aphrodisiac

A$8,800.00

Aphrodisiac

Epoxy Resin, Pigments, Inks and Mix Medium

200cm (W) x 185cm (H) x 6cm (D)

“Aphrodisiac” is an explosive, otherworldly resin composition pulsing with vibrant energy and sensuality. This large-scale artwork immerses the viewer in a hypnotic cosmos of iridescent cells, glowing in shades of electric turquoise, deep indigo, and fleshy crimson. Fluid yet intricate, the surface feels alive, evoking microscopic life, psychedelic coral gardens, or the seductive textures of blooming petals.

Each detail has been painstakingly crafted using Jeremy Kay’s signature resin technique, combining bold pigment layering and hand-controlled chemical reactions to create a three-dimensional skin of colour and light. The tactile shimmer of mica reflects subtly in ambient lighting, lending the piece a transformative duality, calm and aquatic by day, intoxicating and lustrous by night.

“Aphrodisiac” is a sensorial experience designed to alter the energy of any space ideal for collectors who appreciate daring scale and emotional intensity.

PS: Please note that 'Aphrodisiac' is being offered at a significantly reduced price due to a small surface imperfection. Under certain lighting conditions, subtle lines may be visible where the plywood panels of the timber support meet. This is purely a visual detail and does not affect the structural integrity or overall impact of the work.

RESIN ART

BIO

His recent work pushes the experimental boundaries even further with a series of 3 dimensional interactive light boxes, reminiscing the glory nights of his club years. Similarly, to me these artworks embody two lives, a glossy monochromic life during the light of day. Night dawn’s, and a mysterious nocturnal metamorphosis takes place unravelling a whole new personality... something not afraid to be extravagant. The most anticipated Jeremy Kay’s upcoming first solo exhibition is aimed to take place early 2023 in Sydney
