Studio Process / Resin Works
From Liquid to Light
A slow process of casting, sanding, assembling, and transforming resin into illuminated works.
Each artwork begins as a process of transformation, from liquid resin, colour, and instinct into a solid object of light, texture, and atmosphere.
Every dome is individually cast in the studio, with colours carefully mixed, tested, and selected before the resin cures. Once hardened, each piece is hand-sanded, refined, and assembled one by one into the final circular composition. The process is slow, repetitive, physical, and obsessive. Thousands of small decisions gradually become one immersive artwork.
For Jeremy, resin carries a poetic tension. It begins unstable, fluid, and almost impossible to fully control, then becomes permanent through time, chemistry, patience, and trust. These works sit somewhere between painting, sculpture, light object, and portal. They are designed to shift with the environment and respond to colour, music, movement, and emotion.
This body of work is also about risk and play. Following an idea before knowing exactly where it will lead. Building it piece by piece, dome by dome, mistake by mistake, until something imagined becomes something real enough to stand in front of.

Artist Profile
Jeremy Kay
French-born resin artist based in Byron Bay, Australia.
Working with resin, pigment, light and layered colour, Jeremy Kay explores the point where surface becomes atmosphere, where an artwork can shift from a tactile object into something luminous, emotional and alive.
Developed through years of experimentation, Jeremy’s process is intuitive and physical. Resin is poured, pushed, layered and transformed into abstract compositions that hold a sense of movement, depth and psychedelic intensity. His works often carry two lives: a refined, glossy presence by day, and a more extravagant nocturnal personality when light begins to move through them.
Before fully dedicating himself to visual art, Jeremy spent years immersed in music and DJ culture. That rhythm still runs through the work. His pieces are shaped by colour, nightlife, travel, dance floors and the emotional pull of sound, created not just to be looked at, but to alter the feeling of a room.
His current direction expands into AOK, Art of Kay, a fusion of resin, light, installation and performance design. Through circular illuminated works, sculptural objects and immersive concepts, Jeremy continues to push resin beyond the wall and into a more experiential world.
